Finger-Pointing, Mud-Flinging Begins in Madonna & Guy Split

You know how Madonna and Guy Ritchie asked the media for respect in the wake of their divorce announcement on Wednesday? It's not looking like that's gonna happen, thanks to blabby insiders from both sides, who are packing mudpies and warming up their throwing arms.

In what's shaping up to be Round One of "Who sucked at this marriage thing more?" the London Sun says the Big M, 50, has compiled a litany of complaints against her estranged husband, 40, who it seems wants to leave the reportedly prenup-free union with his pride -- and not much else (word is he's proclaimed he wants "not one penny" -- more on that below).

"The situation is on a knife edge," a mutual pal says of the divorce proceedings. "Guy can't believe some of the things Madonna has said about him. No one knows if this is going to be settled easily or turn into an absolute bloodbath. What started out as........

Treasury Seeks Authority to Buy $700 Billon in Mortgage Assets

By Alison Fitzgerald and John Brinsley

Sept. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The Bush administration asked Congress for unchecked power to buy $700 billion in bad mortgage investments from U.S. financial companies in what would be an unprecedented government intrusion into the markets.

The plan, designed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, is aimed at averting a credit freeze that would bring the financial system and economic growth to a standstill. The bill would bar courts from reviewing actions taken under its authority.

``It sounds like Paulson is asking to be a financial dictator, for a limited period of time,'' said historian John Steele Gordon, author of ``Hamilton's Blessing,'' a chronicle of the national debt. ``This is a much-needed declaration of power for the Treasury secretary. We can't wait until the next administration in January.''

The plan necessitates raising the ceiling for the national debt and spends as much money as the combined annual budgets of the Departments of Defense, Education and Health and Human Services. Paulson is asking for the power to hire asset managers and award contracts to private companies.

A failure by the government to support the U.S. financial system could lead to "a depression," Senator Charles Schumer told reporters in New York. "To do nothing is to risk the kind of economic....read more.

POISONOUS DOG FOOD!

I remember being scared and pissed off when I heard dogs were dying from dogfood poisoning a while ago. Alot of the top brands in our markets were on the list of unsafe brands. The one we've always bought was on that list! It was so sad to hear stories of those people who's dog died. I couldn't imagine losing my dogs.

My wife and I tried several alternative organic brands but had a hard time breaking in our dogs' stomachs to a new formula. They were puking and crapping some really nasty stuff! And on top of that, most of the organic brands are super expensive!....up to $50 a bag! Nonetheless, we did it for a few months, and in that short time, we racked up a huge expense just for dogfood! Don't get me wrong, we wouldn't skimp to get the best for our dogs, but the amount started to exceed to our car payment, so we knew we had to find an alternative.

We met a guy named Marty at the dog park who mentioned he feeds his dog boiled white meat chicken and rice when his dog's not feeling well. And then it struck me! I can make my own dogfood! I looked it up online and away we go! We made a week's supply and froze it as suggested. My dogs loved it, and I could definitely see the positive effects of feeding them good home-style food. I got most of my recipes from a book I bought on the net. Check it out! There are tons of easy to make meals that'll make your dog healthier and happier then ever!

Lehman Collapse Spurs Call for Credit Derivatives Clearinghouse

Automobile Accident Law

by Aaron Larson
Law Offices of Aaron Larson

Unfortunately, at some time in our lives, most of us will experience an automobile accident. When you are in a car accident, even if you are not injured, there are certain things that you should and should not do.

If you are involved in personal injury litigation arising from a car accident, you will benefit from consulting a personal injury lawyer.

Stay At The Scene
If you are involved in an accident involving injury, or substantial damage to property, stay at the accident scene until the police tell you that you can leave. If you have any question about whether the damage caused by the accident is substantial, err on the side of caution -- when the law requires you to wait for the police, leaving the scene of an accident can result in driver's license sanctions and even criminal charges.

Safeguard The Injured
If somebody is injured, and you are trained in administering first aid, try to help. Do not move an injured person. Have somebody call the police to report the accident. The person who contacts the police should tell the police that people are injured, if possible also providing the number of injured persons, so that enough emergency personnel respond to the scene. If you are on the roadway, turn your flashers on, or use flares to warn approaching traffic of the accident.

Obtain Information
In any accident, you should obtain the following information about:

The other driver: Name, address, driver's license number, insurance information, and license plate number.

Witnesses: Name, address, and telephone number.

Police officers: Ask the police officer's who investigate the traffic scene to provide you with a business card, with the "incident number," so that you can obtain an accident report. Most officers will provide this information to you, even if you don't ask.

The location: You may wish to take notes about where the accident occurred, the road conditions, speed limits, traffic control devices, the weather, and the lighting.

The accident: You may wish to take notes about how the accident occurred, such as the direction of travel of the vehicles involved in the accident, and what the cars were doing at the time of the collision.

Be aware that if litigation results from the accident, you may have to share your notes with somebody that you are suing, or somebody who is suing you.

Do Not Admit Fault
Even if you think you are at fault, do not admit liability. There may be factors which you don't know, which played a role in the accident, and it may turn out that the other driver was more at fault than you.

Do not make statements to anybody at the accident scene, except for the police. When you speak to the police, tell them only the facts of what happened. Let the officers draw their own conclusion from the facts.

Get Medical Care (See a Doctor)
If you are in a state such as Michigan, where no fault insurance law covers medical treatment necessitated by an automobile accident, and don't seek medical care, you may later find that you are unable to obtain "no fault" benefits for your injuries - your insurance company may argue that your injuries arose from something that happened after the accident.

If you are injured in the accident and sue the other driver, you may similarly find that the other driver argues that your injuries were not related to the accident.

Also, the "adrenaline rush" from the accident can mask your symptoms -- a physical examination may reveal an injury that you do not yet feel.

Tell the doctor if you have any loss of memory, headache, blood or fluid in your ear, dizziness, tinnitis (ringing in the ears), disorientation, nausea, confusion, or any other unusual physical or mental feeling. Many people hit their heads, or suffer brain injuries in automobile accidents, and don't realize that they are injured -- it is best to be safe, by reporting your symptoms so that the doctor can rule out the possibility of a concussion or brain injury.

If you wish to hire a personal injury lawyer, you may find this article on "How To Hire A Personal Injury Lawyer" to be helpful.

Exploring Revolving Credit Agreements

by Mark Warner

A Revolving Credit Agreement is a legal contract between a bank and a customer, in which the bank promises to lend the customer up to specified, maximum amount during a specified period. The customer could be an individual or could be a multi-national corporation, and the amount of the credit limit could be small or could be quite large, but the principles of the agreement remain the same. Such an agreement provides for a line of credit where the customer pays a commitment fee and is then allowed to use the funds when they are needed. It is usually used for operating purposes, fluctuating each month depending on the customers current cash flow needs. Along with the commitment fee there is also usually interest expenses for corporate borrowers and carry forward charges for consumer accounts.

The following key provisions are important to the construction of a Revolving Credit Agreement:

Laying out the Parameters. The first provision should describe the nature of the bank-customer relationship, and describe the line of credit that is being created. This section might read: Bank A may extend credit to Customer B pursuant to this Revolving Credit Agreement, allowing the customer to access the credit from time to time, subject to a limitation on the outstanding balance of the credit accessed and without regard to whether the customer has previously accessed and repaid the credit. This revolving credit agreement may authorize the customer to access the credit extended by either or both of the following:

1. Purchasing goods or services from a seller by means of the bank's commitment to advance to the seller the payment for the goods and services purchased by the customer;
2. Obtaining an advance of funds by the bank or by another in reliance on the bank's commitment to pay the funds advanced to the customer.

Terms of the Loan. The agreement must then spell out the terms of the line of credit and what the bank plans to charge. (The maximum amount of interest a bank is allowed to charge is controlled by state and federal law, so check the relevant statute in your state to ensure compliance.) The agreement should specify the manner in which the bank will compute the loan balance on which interest and finance charges are assessed. A revolving credit agreement may permit the bank to charge a minimum monthly finance charge of one dollar for any month for which there is an unpaid balance on the customer's account.

Providing Monthly Statements. The bank must supply to its customer under a revolving credit agreement a statement as of the beginning or end of each period in which there is any unpaid balance on the customer's account, which period may be a calendar month or other regular period not in excess of thirty-one days. These statements should include:

1. The amount of the unpaid balance under the agreement at the beginning and end of the period;
2. The date and amount of each advance made by the bank for the account of the customer during the period;
3. The cash purchase price and the date of each purchase of goods or services with respect to which advances for the account of the customer were made during the period;
4. All payments made by the customer to the bank and any other credits to the customer during the period;
5. The amount of all charges made against the customer during the period;
6. A legend to the effect that the customer may at any time pay the unpaid balance without incurring further charges.

These are the main provisions that must be addressed in a typical Revolving Credit Agreement.

The Top 10 Rules of High-Mileage Car Maintenance

(ARA) - Americans are keeping their vehicles longer and driving farther than ever before. Today, the average age of vehicles on the road is greater than nine years and more than 68 percent of vehicles have more than 75,000 miles.

As a vehicle's engine ages, its performance decreases and oil starts to break down at a faster rate. Over time, seals begin to deteriorate, gaskets become brittle and oil consumption increases -- all leading to a reduction in engine performance.

Treating your high-mileage vehicle with a little TLC and consistently following the 10 rules for high-mileage vehicle maintenance will help ensure it will go the distance. Using premium motor oil specially formulated for higher-mileage cars -- such as Castrol GTX High Mileage Formulation --will also help a higher-mileage car feel young again.

Rule #1 -- Make sure you change your oil every three months or 3,000 miles -- whichever comes first. No exceptions. Think of your engine as the heart of your car and motor oil as the lifeblood of the engine. One can't function without the other, so stay on top of your oil-change schedule.

Rule #2 -- Find a good mechanic. If you don't do your own maintenance, find a shop staffed by.....

The Chrome is out of the bag: Google's browser arrives Tuesday
Posted by Rafe Needleman

This post has been updated.

We believe Kara Swisher of the All Things Digital blog was first to pick up on Google's official announcement: Chrome is real. Earlier today Swisher also had the first confirmation from sources that the launch of the browser was imminent. It's not an elaborate hoax. It's a bona fide product and it will be available for download Tuesday. We'll have a hands-on review as soon as we get some time to explore the product.

So why the mystery? Human error, it appears. According to the official Google blog, "At Google, we have a saying: 'launch early and iterate.' While this approach is usually limited to our engineers, it apparently applies to our mailroom as well! As you may have read in the blogosphere, we hit 'send' a bit early on a comic book introducing our new open-source browser..."

Liver Cancer - Incidence, Symptoms, Causation, Diagnosis, Treatment and Prognosis

"I hope you get well Mr. D."

Liver cancer also known as primary or metastatic hepatic carcinoma is a fairly rare form of cancer in the western world (1% of all cancers) but much more common in Africa and parts of Asia (10% to 50% of all cancers). It is much more prevalent in men and incidence increases with age. Liver cancer is rapidly fatal, usually within 6 months from gastrointestinal hemorrhage, hepatic failure or metastasis.

TYPES OF LIVE CANCER

Most primary liver tumors are known as hepatomas (hepatocellular carcinoma and primary lower cell carcinoma). Some primary liver cancers originate in the bile duct and these are known as cholangiomas. Some rare liver cancers include Kupffer cell sarcoma and hepatoblastomas (which occur almost exclusively in children and are usually respectable and curable). Metastatic liver cancer is 20 times more common than primary liver cancer and after cirrhosis this is the leading form of liver related death.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Liver cancer does not normally cause symptoms until it is in an advanced stage. Clinical effects of advanced liver cancers include:
1. A mass in the right upper side. 2. Tender, nodular liver on palpation 3. Severe pain in the epigastrium or upper right side 4. Weight loss, anorexia, weakness, fever 5. Occasional jaundice or ascites (fluid in the abdomen)

CAUSATION

The exact cause of liver cancer is unknown in adults but in children it may be a genetic disease. Adult liver carcinomas may result from environmental exposure to carcinogens such as mold, contrast media (no longer in use), androgens and oral estrogens, the hepatitis B virus or by damage to the liver due to cirrhosis caused by too much prolonged imbibing of alcohol.

DIAGNOSIS

Liver cancer is difficult to diagnose in the presence of cirrhosis, but several tests can help identify it: The combination of an imaging study (ultrasound, CT, or MRI scans) and an elevated blood level of alpha-fetoprotein will most effectively diagnose liver cancer, electrolyte studies may indicate increased sodium retention, a liver biopsy can make a definitive diagnosis.

TREATMENT

Treatments for primary liver cancer depend on the extent (stage) of the disease, age, overall health, feelings and personal preferences. Surgery is the most effective treatment for primary liver cancer, but this is not always possible due to the size or position of the tumor. Radiofrequency ablation is an option for people with small, unresectable hepatocellular tumors and for some types of metastatic liver cancers. During this procedure, the hepatic artery (the artery from which liver cancers derive their blood supply) is blocked, and chemotherapy drugs are injected between the blockage and the liver. Cryoablation may be an option for people with inoperable primary and metastatic liver cancers. Removing the whole liver and replacing it with a liver from another person is another possible form of treatment for primary liver cancer.
Even when treatments fail to provide much improvement in the liver cancer itself, pain and other signs and symptoms caused by liver cancer can be aggressively treated to improve quality of life. In general, the treatments available for children are the same as for adults, and the best approach depends on the stage and type of cancer as well as the child's age and overall health.

PROGNOSIS

Prognosis is poor when cancer is advanced, but for small tumors that are confined to the liver, ablative therapies are palliative and surgical resection or liver transplantation is sometimes curative.

The Ultimate Cheeseburger on a Grill

The grill is a very nostalgic thing. Most people remember their fathers standing over the grill during the summer and braving the huge flames to turn out some burnt hot dogs and shriveled hockey pucks posing as hamburgers. Those simple items have advanced now and some people make their teriyaki tofu with asparagus spears. Some like to cook other meats like pork chops and steaks in place of hamburgers and brats and other sausages instead of simple hot dogs. I'm a huge chicken fan myself. But every once in a while I like to revisit my childhood and wrap my lips around a great burger. I don't have my father's grill. My grill runs off of gas and is easily controlled. His was a fire hazard that made a huge mess each time it was lit.

The convenience of the gas grill prompted me to a play around with some burger recipes frequently until I found one that I absolutely love. It's ridiculously simple and utterly fantastic. This burger recipe is a thick and juicy beef burger smothered in Monterey jack and white cheddar cheese with grilled onions and a toasted bun. I even threw in a chipotle mayonnaise with a lot of black pepper for an extra kick.

Ultimate Grilled Cheeseburgers:

This burger is going to be screaming with bold flavors. At the store, pay attention to the fat content of your hamburger. I don't necessarily care for one cut of beef over the other for this recipe. Ground round, chuck, whatever you can find will work just fine. Make sure it has at least 20% fat content, however. Next, we'll need a small bottle of liquid smoke, a bottle of Worcestershire sauce, an big onion, (yellow, white, red, it doesn't matter) a can of chipotle peppers, white cheddar and jack cheese, mayonnaise if you don't have it. Be sure to pick up your favorite hamburger buns. And if you want anymore fixings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, then be sure to grab them.

Mixing the burgers should be easy. Just place the meat into a big bowl, add 1 tablespoon of liquid smoke, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and some salt and pepper to taste. And my secret ingredient for holding these burgers together is 1 medium sized egg. These amounts are based on 1 pound of beef. For every extra pound, add another tablespoon and another egg. 1 pound should yield approximately 4 burgers. After mixed, begin to form the burger shape and place on a platter or cookie sheet.

Turn your grill to medium and let it heat up for 10 minutes or so. While the grill's getting warm, we want to mix that chipotle mayonnaise. In a blender, mix 1 cup of mayo with 3 of the chipotle peppers and some of the red sauce in the can, then add some black pepper to taste and blend together. If you want, you can spruce this up with anything in your house: mustard, lime juice, bourbon, etc. This recipe is really spicy so if you're concerned with the heat, just use 1 or 2 peppers.

Peel your onion and cut it in slices about ¼ inches thick. Make sure to place these onions on your grills racks with the burgers. Turn then when you turn the burgers. Once the grill is hot, place the burgers on. They should cook relatively quickly and the fire will begin to flame broil the burgers when the fat starts to drip out. Let them cook for 5 minutes per side, cut the heat completely off, and add the cheese to each burger. I use a lot of cheese and let it melt on for about 5 minutes. Also, before closing the lid with the heat off, place your hamburger burns, cut side down, on the grill racks to let them get toasted. Brush the buns with the chipotle mayonnaise and build the burger you want. These burgers are amazing and you will definitely want more than one.

Master ebooks resale rights by PANKAJ GARG

The global Internet audience is growing at an exponential pace, and anyone with a single iota of marketing sense knows that a global audience there for the taking is too good an opportunity to pass up. So Internet marketing is growing at an exponential pace as well, and among the hottest marketing properties are master resell ebooks rights.

Master resell ebooks rights allow you to sell ebooks without actually having to write them yourself or pay someone to write them. You simply pay for the rights to use and resell the ebooks of your choice, and not only that, because you are paying for master resell ebooks rights, you can also sell the rights to resell them.

You can also sell the ebooks separately from the resell rights; you can sell the ebooks and resell rights as a package; or you can sell the resell rights as a stand-alone offering. Master resell ebooks are attractive simply because they allow your customers the opportunity to become resellers with a shot to make some money themselves!

The master resell ebooks you decide to purchase will depend on your particular marketing niche, but the great majority of them are devoted to making money on the Internet through, you guessed it, marketing.

They may be targeted to specific audiences like those marketing vitamins or dog training techniques or fitness programs, but all of them are being used as marketing tools by those from whom you purchase them. When you resell them, you can do it in a way that puts them to work marketing for you. How?

First make sure the ebooks you buy master resell rights for are interestingly, accurately, and informatively written on topics with wide appeal. Make sure not only that you know what is in each of them, but that you have actually used their suggestions. Then get creative with your own marketing efforts which will help rebrand the master resell ebooks to reflect your style.
Most master resell ebooks come with pre-written sales letters, but you should make changes to this to make it uniquely your own, as you are probably not the only marketer promoting the ebooks, and you need to distinguish your efforts from those of your competitors.

You can also include you own affiliate links, or make an incentive offer contingent on those who want your ebooks registering at your site or signing up for your newsletter.
You'll be building your customer lists, and the secret to any successful marketing campaign is the degree to which it lets you build a base of customers with whom you can regularly contact.
As long as you build and maintain a reputation of offering high-quality, accurate and readable master resell ebooks to those on your list, they will keep coming back, and not only your ebooks but your affiliate links will be earning you money!

Select the Best Affiliate Program by Rajeev Negi

Are you having difficulties in selecting an internet affiliate program to join and promote? Too many opportunities to sort through Uncertain of your next step guess what - you are not alone. Join the crowd! You will probably find the road full of potholes in your research, review and selection of the right affiliate program for you.

You should consider the following steps to help you make the decision on which affiliate program to join and promote. First, you need to find the affiliate programs that are available for you to join and promote. Second, you need to sort through all these opportunities to learn the details of each affiliate program. Third, you need to select a program (or programs) that fit your wants and needs (whatever they may be).

I am making the basic assumption that you want to select a program that will result in cash flowing into your pocket rather than flowing out of your pocket. Look out for the potholes in the road. There are a lot of them out there. You should keep in mind that most affiliate programs will not make any promises regarding your future potential earnings or lack of earnings. Warning - Avoid any program that makes promises that seem unrealistic or too good to be true.
You should review a wide selection of affiliate programs before you decide which program (or programs) is right for you. As painful as it sounds, you need to do the research before making any decision. You should perform sufficient (and not necessarily exhaustive) research to understand what programs exist and what they provide to the affiliate (promoter/seller) and customer (buyer). The amount of research you perform depends on what you need to make an informative decision.

The process of research is probably the most painful and yet the most educational part of setting up an online internet business. Do not cut it short because you will probably pay for it dearly in different ways at a later date. This includes spending unnecessary money, pursuing the wrong marketing paths and just plain wasting your time and energy.

It is essential to perform thorough research if you are going to profit from any promotional effort of an affiliate program. It is an established fact that commercial success starts with having a product to sell (hopefully a product that provides value, usefulness and/or happiness to the buyer of the product). It is another well known fact that the economics picture is not complete without a seller and a buyer that are willing and able to sell and buy the product. Warning - Do not get involved with an affiliate program where it is uncertain what comprises the actual product being sold.

Many factors, including the selling price of the product and the total cost of the product (potential costs include manufacturing, storing, distributing, marketing, and selling), need to be evaluated to determine if a profit can be made on the promotion and sale of an affiliate product. As a side note, the difference between financial success and failure could be a simple matter of promoting a product that has more appeal or intrinsic value to the potential buyer than the cost of the product.

The research process should consist of gathering sufficient information on potential opportunities that will enable you to make an informed decision on what affiliate program(s) to join and promote. You will need to devote precious time and energy to accomplish this phase of the affiliate selection process.

In order to locate the affiliate opportunities, you should start by using a national search engine. Select "key words" in your search (such as: affiliate opportunities, affiliate ebook, affiliate networks, affiliate income, affiliate marketing, etc) to locate opportunities. Be innovative and change the search word(s) to match your personal needs and interest. You should probably direct your attention to the top 10 to 20 search results for any key word group since these are likely to be the websites with the highest level of internet traffic. Higher traffic is an indicator that the website gets visitors and is probably in demand. Demand is important since it is one part of the economic "demand versus supply" equation.

Write down the appropriate information from each website that will provide you with data to review after you complete you're online searching. You should probably print out the sales letter and any other useful information that will help in your follow-up review and evaluation. Part of your research will include communicating with the owner of each website that you are considering.

In addition, join some of the internet discussion boards and chat rooms that discuss the topic of affiliate programs. This can potentially provide a wealth of information in your review and comparison process. You can use the search engines to find these discussion boards and chat rooms.

Another source of information resides in ebook and ezine articles that have already been written on the subject of affiliate programs and affiliate marketing. You can locate these ebook and articles by using the search engines. Do not hesitate to communicate with the authors. Work with the authors because it may help you in your quest for usable information. You may find some authors willing to discuss your specific concerns since it may provide them with useful material for their future use.

In the process of performing your research, you will be compiling a lot of hand-written notes and web page printouts of potential affiliate programs. Furthermore, you will probably accumulate material on your computer;s hard drive of website pages on affiliate programs that you had an interest in performing a follow-up analysis upon.

The process of research is not only time consuming but also may consume some of your money. How much money you spend depends on the types of programs you are considering. Furthermore, you may have to join a program or purchase something (for example, buy the ebook that is being promoted) in order to get the information you need for your review and evaluation phase. You should always ask for a free copy - it does not hurt to try.
Keep yourself organized by putting the paper information (hand-written notes and web page printouts) into 3-ring binders. Use tab inserts to separate each affiliate program. Each tab insert should be labeled with an appropriate affiliate program title. This will enable easy identification of each program in the binder and access to the detailed data.

The next step is to make a "summary table" that includes each affiliate program you are considering. The summary table should contain information on each affiliate program such as: name of the program, URL website, definition of what the program offers to the affiliate, description of what is offered to the customer of the product, cost of the program to the customer, commission payable to the affiliate, description of the downlink sales commissions (if any), training available to the affiliate by the owner of the product, sales material available to the affiliate, etc. Next, you need to review, evaluate and compare the various affiliate programs at a summarized level. This is the phase of utilizing all the information that you collected, categorized and organized during the search phase. This process can now be accomplished with considerably less stress and anxiety than just looking at a list of affiliate programs.

You now have the important and essential information (that fulfills your needs) necessary to make an informed decision. The summary table provides you with the data to compare the different affiliate opportunities (whether it is only two or many). At this point, your review and evaluation process will probably lead to more questions. However, your questions should now be much targeted. Any follow-up research you need to perform to obtain answers should be highly focused.

Make certain you communicate with the owner of each affiliate program to gain as much knowledge as possible about the respective affiliate program. The owner of the program should be anxious to hear your questions and help you since it could result in increased revenue to the owner. Make your questions as direct and to the point as possible to uncover your deepest concerns.

Finally, what did you achieve or learn from your search of ebook and ezine articles on the topic of affiliate topics? Use this information in your decision process. You should communicate with the author(s) if you found something of interest that can help you in your eventual decision. The author(s) should also be willing to talk to you since it could result in material for future ebook they might write.

I hope you find this information valuable and worth your time in reading. A decision based on having the appropriate information is definitely worth more than a decision made by "guessing." This article is just the beginning. You will find your niche in affiliate programs by performing a proper research, review and comparison of available programs before making your informed decision. Good luck in your quest to find the right affiliate program(s) for your future personal and financial success.

How to Prevent Identity Theft in Less Than 24 Hours

Preventing identity theft is difficult, there are ways to reduce the risk of having your identity stolen, but it is near impossible to fully prevent it. The shear amount of information that is available for anyone to look is ridiculous. If someone had a desire to, they could easily find your social security number and find out information about you that isn't desirable to be out in the public.Let's take a look at an average Saturday, you take your kids the doctor for a checkup, they scan your insurance card and drivers license and put it on file. Anyone can easily look in that file and take what they need. You drop the kids off with the babysitter and take a night out with your husband. He pays for dinner with the credit card by handing it to the waitress. These are just activities that everyone does on a daily basis, yet each time we trust that the waitress isn't going to write down our credit card numbers, we trust that no one is going to take a peek at the medical file. So how do we reduce our risk of identity theft?

Here are a few simple ways that you can prevent it.

Password Protection
Start with passwords, change them occasionally and don't use your mother's maiden name for any password. In fact, don't make a password anything easily guessable. Names are common to use and easy to find out, people can just look up your credit history these days. Changing your passwords will also make it more difficult to find them out.

Sensitive Information
When you are talking to people who claim they need some sensitive information, always as why they need it. Don't hesitate to be curious, ask the teller at the bank if they really need your social security number for a transaction. If someone calls you and then asks you for credit card information, don't give it away. Also, always tear up old bank account statements because they have your bank number on them.

Free Credit Report
Take advantage by requesting your annual free credit report. Make it a habit to order it and go over in detail. Watch for fraudulent charges or anything that looks fishy. Look for addresses that you have never lived at, because this will be a good indication that someone is using your name. Giving you a free credit report is required by federal law, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Do you want to be the next victim of Identify theft? If not, Moolah-Moolah will give you more important tips to avoid becoming a victim.

Tips For Keeping Your Dog Healthy by Joseph M. Sabol

Your dog can be the best thing that can happen to you and your family. It brings in a different kind of joy and unity for all family members. And while pet dogs give you their unconditional gift of joyfulness, you need to take proper care of them. Caring for your pet dog takes more than just feeding and training. Your pet dog needs a balanced diet, happy lifestyle, proper exercise, and regular visits to the veterinarian.
The foremost consideration when having a pet dog is the careful choice of veterinarian. Your dog's vet should be trustworthy and likable. Just like your children who are afraid of dentists, your pet dog may feel estranged and intimated by his doctor. While still a puppy, bring your pet to a vet. Also, it helps if you retain the same veterinarian all throughout his lifetime. Your dog develops a level of familiarity with his vet and staying with the same doctor makes him feel comfortable at every visit.

During a visit to a veterinarian, discuss with your doctor the potential risks or problems that your pet might acquire. State to the vet everything what you give to your dog including food, training, medicine, food supplements, and even his shelter if he has one.

Diseases are very common among dogs. Check on the skin and fur-related problems of your dog, such as ticks, fleas, and worms. You may even ask your doctor to conduct a stool test and examine if there are viruses and worms inside the dog's system. With this, it would be best if you take a stool sample of your pet with you when visiting the vet.

From time to time, the doctor may prescribe medicines or food supplements. Vets apply syringe administration, especially if there is a serious illness, or if your pet dog needs vaccination. Oral administration of medicines also requires careful methods.

Your best care efforts for your dog happen at home. Always feed your dog a balanced meal but avoid overfeeding, as it will cause obesity that can lead to sickness and other health problems. As your pet dog ages, his exercising needs also increases. But make sure the physical activity is appropriate for his abilities. Dietary supplements like chondroitin or glucosamine help in preventing arthritis.

Your pet dog also has needs for his social life. Take him regularly to parks where he can meet other dogs. And most importantly, make him feel that he is a big part of the family. Hugs, strokes, tickles, and playful memories mean so much to your pet dog.

Caffeine Addiction - It's Serious Business by Tim Whiston

Research indicates 9 in 10 people in the U.S. use some form of caffeine on a regular basis. And according to numerous independent studies, over half of the people who use caffeine regularly are dependant.

The American Psychiatric Association clearly defines the withdrawal symptoms individuals may suffer when they stop using caffeine after prolonged consumption. These symptoms indicate physical and psychological addiction to caffeine.

Caffeine has also been linked to heart disease, high blood pressure, panic attacks, stomach and GI issues, and a number of other very real health issues. Aside from the major risks, anyone with a coffee habit will tell you about the irritability, fatigue, insomnia, and high levels of nervous tension caused by regular caffeine consumption.

The fact is, caffeine is a very powerful, highly addictive substance. And it's readily available to people of all ages in a very wide range of forms.

Coffee, energy drinks, a variety of black teas, and even diet supplements are consumed in large quantities by the majority of the population in the U.S. and other nations. In many ways it is both surprising and disturbing that an addictive substance has grown to such rampant levels of use and even acceptance in our society.

Caffeine is not associated with health risk in the minds of the average consumer. Most people truly believe several cups of coffee every single day is a harmless habit.
And this fact makes the problem all the more serious! Because people fail to grasp the very real danger of using caffeine very liberally, there is no real incentive to decrease intake or stop altogether.

Caffeine floods the bloodstream with adrenaline and stress hormones. Additionally it increase heart rate significantly while at the same time constricting blood vessels.
These facts alone make caffeine a substantial health risk. Add to this the confirmed findings about the addictive nature of caffeine and we have a severe issue on our hands.
It's interesting that caffeine is the most commonly consumed beverage in a nation where heart disease is the most common terminal illness. It is highly unlikely these statistics are mere chance.

It seems clear that modern culture is knowingly condoning mass consumption of a chemical that has been proven to instigate or worsen heart problems, nervous disorders, digestive issues, and high blood pressure. Caffeine addiction, while not a problem that typically results in fatal overdose, is as lethal in the long-term as many other chemical dependencies and it's crucial that Americans (and citizens of other nations with high usage of caffeine) wake up to this clear and present danger!

When faced with this suggestion, the average coffee drinker will scoff. However, if caffeine is not an addictive substance why do most users report severe headaches, irritability, and even depression after only 12 to 24 hours of abstinence?

Extreme discomfort as the result of not consuming a particular substance is a clear sign of addiction. We should all shudder to think that we are virtually pushing products loaded with caffeine on young children and teens on a daily basis!

Caffeine addiction is serious business and until it is viewed in the proper perspective millions more people will suffer needlessly. Like all addictions, there is help and there are proven methods in place to help individuals overcome.

But the first step is accepting the fact that a problem exists.
